DOT Regulatory Resources

The  provides a summary and the status for all significant rulemakings that DOT currently has pending or has issued.

The following is a list of DOT's Operating Administrations and the Office of the Secretary (OST), their regulatory responsibilities, and their regulatory contacts.

DOT Federal Funding Available

• The  includes $30.5 billion for public transportation, including $26.6 billion to be allocated by statutory formulas to urban and rural areas, tribal governments, and for the enhanced mobility of seniors and individuals with disabilities, and $2.2 billion to FTA grant recipients in communities that demonstrate additional pandemic-associated needs. Funds will be made available at 100-percent federal share and primarily directed to operations and payroll. An additional $1.7 billion is provided for projects in the Capital Investment Grants (CIG) Program and another $25 million for competitive planning grants.
• The Consolidated Appropriations Act 2021, made $230 million available for the Port Infrastructure Development Program, with $205 million reserved for grants to coastal seaports and Great Lakes ports. The minimum award size is $1 million. The deadline to submit an application for the Port Infrastructure Development Program is July 30, 2021. For more information, click  or send an email.

•  The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) published a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to apply for $1 billion in Fiscal Year (FY) 2021 discretionary grant funding through the Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) grants (formerly known as BUILD and TIGER).
