The New Horizons Foundation has been named a Makers Grant recipient through Stanley Black & Decker鈥檚 Global Impact Challenge. In its second year of operation, the Global Impact Challenge program will award over $25 million in grant funding to non-profits supporting workforce development efforts in the skilled trades and manufacturing sectors. Applicants were evaluated on a multitude of criteria, including the number of individuals served, projected outcomes, long-term impact, and program offerings and depth.
The New Horizons Foundation is tasked with providing contractors with the education and information that gives contractors the best opportunity to develop their companies. Tom Soles, Executive Director of the New Horizons Foundation, talked about what the grant means. 鈥淲e are very appreciative of the recognition that this grant exemplifies.
