New Speakers Added to the CEA National Issues Conference Line-Up

Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN-6), Congressman Rob Bresnahan (R-PA-8), and John G. Murphy, Vice President and head of International at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, will address attendees at the upcoming , being held May 5-7, 2025 at the Royal Sonesta Washington DC Capitol Hill. 

Representing Minnesota鈥檚 6th District since 2015, Congressman Tom Emmer was elected Majority Whip entering the 118th Congress. The Congressman previously served as Chairman of the NRCC during the 116th and 117th Congress and currently sits on the House Financial Services Committee. Before Congress, Rep. Emmer served in the Minnesota House of Representatives and spent over 20 years running his legal practice. 

Congressman Rob Bresnahan

Before being elected to Congress in 2024, Rep. Bresnahan began working at his family鈥檚 northeast Pennsylvania business at a young age, eventually running his grandfather鈥檚 electrical contracting company. A strong advocate for the union trades, Rob previously served as Chair of the JATC and Trustee for the Health, Wellness, and Annuity Fund for IBEW 163. The Congressman serves on the House Transportation & Infrastructure, Agriculture, and Small Business Committees.

Chamber of Commerce鈥檚 John Murphy

Since joining the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in 1999, John G. Murphy has played a critical role in securing congressional approval for trade agreements with more than a dozen countries and helping to shape countless other trade bills. Between 2001 and 2008, Mr. Murphy served as the Chamber鈥檚 Vice President for Western Hemisphere Affairs. In his current position, John directs the Chamber鈥檚 international trade and investment advocacy policy. From 2021-2024, Murphy has been named to Washingtonian magazine鈥檚 Most Influential List, highlighting those individuals working tirelessly as advocates to change and improve the federal policies that significantly impact people, states, businesses, foreign affairs, safety, and security.
